I think the clincher is the "offer up" bit; a lot of people say sorry and think that's enough. An INCIDENT goes beyond saying sorry - especially in business. The other critical piece is the overdelivering on service or content. Doing what you do damned well and consistently makes INCIDENTS blips; being mediocre at what you do makes INCIDENTS a good reason to find someone better. Nice recovery and even better post. Maybe that was the clincher.
